Does anyone know of a Windmill talk board. I googled Windmill talk board but nothing there. I can find all kinds of parts but I would like some info on rebuilding a 1934 Baker windmill. I met a gentleman at a farm show last Aug that claimed to know everything there was to know about windmills. Well I called him the other night & his wife told me he died. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Gerald

I hope this is not the fellow you said had passed on, I met Roger at the Albert City Threshermens show, and he does know windmills.

Yes after I talked to you & Fixeruper in front of the feature building there at Albert City I went over & talked to Roger. It is sure to bad. What a nice guy.

I still have an old windmill on my farm in South Jersey. My father's side of the family owned 5 farms which were all connected and all had working windmills. The family slowly died off and I have the only farm left of the five and I would like to restore my windmill but having a difficult time finding a windmill company close enough to be affordable. Anyone know of a windmill company near S Jersey or PA or Delaware? Any info will be appreciated.

Used to be a windmill gazzet magazine. Maybe T Lindsay Baker out of Texas. There was an online forum years back but I have not been on it for a long time. Seems it might have been tied in to O brock's.

I use Miller's Windmill Service in Middlebury, IN. 574/825-2877. He's not Amish, but most of his customers are. He may know of a forum or a fellow repair place closer to you.

We have an eight-foot Aeromotor, provided all the water for our cows until about a decade ago.

I got news for you - it won't be affordable even if it is next door!

We used only windmills as our water source for cattle up until the 90's. I remember in the mid 80's one of the mills needed bearings and seals. Nothing big. The bill was $500. That was a lot of money back then, especially considering what the farm economy was like in the 80's.

I have thought for years of buying one to use in the bull pen here at home. My concerns about buying a money pit have kept me using the hydrant.

I have a friend that has rebuilt many windmills and has 8 erected on his property. Has rebuilt the one at Rollag MN and at Prairie Village Madison SD. Give me a call and I will give you his number. My number is 605.881.3042

Depends on the make common Aermotor or Dempster might be easy and not to bad. Real old and unusual could be custom work and not cheap.

You can call my brother. He is into the windmills and knew Roger very well. 515-835-0307(Gregg). Currently on his way home from Kentucky.
