the little 8n is back at rest for now,,,thanks for riding with us this morning!!

As always, great pics.

That vice stand looks great in IH red... since you couldn't bring yourself to leave it rusty. :)

Interesting mix of doors on your 8n garage
The doors above the Windows sort of imply 2 levels.
The big end doors do not.
What was the purpose?

50 years ago,,the farmer who my dad bought the place from,,had chickens everywhere,he had two levels in that building,,and a few others.

Looks nice there Larry , still looks like winter here , but the snow is melting ,
and water is running every where.
When I see a nice little tractor , like your Ford, and nice old farm buildings
like you have , makes me wish we could still make a living farming at the scale
of which they would allow . But just think how much food would cost if we all
only had ten cows , and 3 sows , and maybe 200 laying hens . Consumers would go
screaming crazy !!

I would guess the old farm here had a few cows and some horses in the bottom of the bank barn, there is a building just for hogs, and a double deck chicken coop attached to the barn.I would guess they did a little of everything. There is an old butcher house with a stove and cast iron kettles.A real nice root cellar too. There Used to be an old outhouse and a smokehouse but they fell apart many years ago. There are two hand dug wells on the farm besides the drilled one.It was an old PA Dutch farmstead years ago for sure.

Been a kind of a long day here in Wisconsin, and we are MORE than ready for spring. Thanks once again for a very nice set of photos. I'd sure like to make it out that way again!

Great pictures thank you for sharing, our old tractors
are still snowed indoors for another month or more
possibly.

Nice pics Larry, and the vice looks great except I don't believe that is the correct shade of Case Power
Red tho. I kinda was hoping for Ford blue as a matter of fact. Lol

I don't think I would have the patience to sit in a deer stand and wait for a deer to come by. I prefer hunting on the prairie. All we did was locate a few sloughs where they hadn't been cut clear. Just walk through the tall grass; if you didn't step on a deer, they would just lay still and let you walk by - but once you got to the other side, turn around and look back because the deer would be up and running out the opposite direction behind you. Only the buck that I got was in my direct path so he decided to try to make a run for it directly in front of me - got him in the back of the head on his first leap.
