Hi,we didn't get a manual with our recent new to us tractor,I remember someone saying they have a T4040,just wondering what the switches on each side of the dash control? When you hold them in the screen looks like it's ready to accept setting changes but it's not clear without the manual exactly what it is referring to?

I think those are to control the H menus. I think you need to connect 2 particular terminals together in the Dearborn connector to enter the H menus. You'd likely need a tech manual to navigate the menus. It's not hard once you know how to navigate, but it'd be hard otherwise.

hi just wondering how your power steering works when its cold out and you first start up the tractor.i have a t4020 it needs to warm up for about fifteen minuets befor the power steering wants to work.im going to change the hydraulic filter this week and see if that helps.

Hi,it seems to be ok so far,it maybe whines a bit at first but works alright. Our Kubota we traded was bad for that,we figured it was sucking air somewhere but never completely solved the issue. The previous owner of our 4030 had the throttle cable adjusted that it idled at 1300 rpm. Today I adjusted it back so that it would idle at 700. After doing that i realized that then the hand throttle would only set at 2100 rpm instead of 2500 but the foot would still do 25. There was a 1/4" travel in the slot that the hand throttle linkage moved on before it would tug on the cable so I took it apart filled in part of the slot with weld now it will idle at 700 and turn up 2500 either on the floor or dash.
