Sitting around waiting for my tires on a tractor and was doing a little surfing. Came across the Simplemost.com site where they had a map of the US and the map consisted of the richest company in each state. This map shows ONLY the one company, not all the GDP produced, or $ value of the companies therein, so this is just a tip of the iceberg what the USA is worth not counting private holdings and real estate and government holdings and all that.
It's a mind boggling 5 trillion, 388 Billion total..... $5,388,000,000,000. And that's just ONE company per state!
A lot of the entries were large company headquarters. Largest of all was Microsoft in Washington at $460 B....beat out Apple, the highest in Calif. by a good margin, and Texas oil. Interesting that a lot of big companies are diverse in their location and provide jobs for folks in out of the way places. I know why but still it's jobs far and wide across this great country Was impressed by the numbers.
