Ya wanna talk big

Pretty impressive! I'm gonna call bs on the
tree in the middle of the field. That tree
would have been cut down long ago for one,
and not a spot of grass around it? Thinking
a little animation involved. I wonder how
much that would set a guy back?

Looks like it would be more practical to make a short perpendicular pass on each side of the trees rather than going around.

That farm (Wayne Zell farms) are in Collarenebri, New South Wales, Australia. They plant around 47,000 acres of grain crops, mainly wheat, barley and chickpeas. The trees are sprayed around before planting but are left for wind erosion and wild life. That is a vary large air seeder. I would bet that it has row shut offs so the units are not double planting the seed on the over lap passes. The planter I pictured earlier has individual row shut off just like our other planters. So planting into ill regular end rows/corners is easy.

Hahahahaha! Not saying that I've never seen it, just saying with a field that big they probably wouldn't leave just that 1 tree to farm around.

I have trouble judging the end of a 9" haybine. Imagine judging the end of that monster to clear something - and the damage if you mess up.

They must have bureaucrats, too, if someone thinks a few scattered trees, in the midst of 47,000 acres of sprayed and fertilized crops, is going to do anything for "wildlife and erosion." Get 'em outta there.

Not the case in the video, but I have a field with three random trees in the middle. There are gas wells there so it's best to let the trees grow.

I wanna see how they get that down the road. Goin around the tree is easy with these new gps systems, as
long as they work. Lol. But folding that small enough to get it to the next field would be a trick.

There's a place called the "Wadsworth Estate" in Livingston County, NY. Most of the fields have one or two large trees in middle of them. I have heard that there's a stipulation in the deed that you're not allowed to cut the trees down, and you have to farm around them.

(quoted from post at 17:49:25 01/16/17) So if you misjudge when to pull out for the trees how would you ever back that thing up?

I expect that the driver is reading the paper and is not concerned with judging distances.
