Any 1999-2002 ford super duty experts on wiring?

Looking to pick someone's brain. New to me 2000 f250 has no spedo abs lights on. I know drivers side front abs cord is broke but can't track Dow where the wiring goes after the connection.

Yes, sensor in rear axle, or associated wiring. It's exposed to shrapnel from the road in the axle/right rear spring area.

I had a 2000 Ford Expedition and the speedometer went blank, the dealer ended up replacing the entire instrument cluster I couldn't even get the car inspected without a working speedometer. I hope your problem is less involved.

I know the front right wiring is ripped apart from a flat tire. I will look into the rear sensor and see if that makes a difference. I assumed it needed the rear input as well as both fronts to compute speed correctly.. All my other gauges work fine. Don't want to get to crazy into this thing as it is just a work beater..

Speedo & shifting is picked up in the rear Housing ABS Sensor, could be the connector plug in
of the F85Z9E731AB sensor.

Jim, I have a '99. No sensors on the front. ABS on rear only. The sensor is on top of the diff housing. Is your speedo digital? Mine is the old style. I may be of no help here.

I have encountered a couple of these. The speedometer signal is taken from the rear sensor located on top of the differential housing. More likely is a bad connector at that sensor. The sensor is not very expensive. Connectors are a dime a dozen in the junkyards. The wires tend to break off where they enter the molded plastic portion of the connector. Hard to see. If a sensor does not work to make the speedometer work, replace the connector.

My 2000 f250 did that, if I remember right the od light kept flashing too, it was a bad speed sensor on the rear axel, like others have said.
