The one in the back I brought home this week. It turns over but I'm yet to get it started. I think a tune up is in order. I was thinking about taking the tin off the front one to make it look a little better. Now I'm thinking of leaving it just like it is. Can't get much more character than that.

Tune up why waste the $$ when a simple points file/clean up is likely to at least get you to the point you can find out what else it may need. When I pick up a dead tractor the first thing I do is check and clean the points and most fire up or at least try to

Old. I cleaned the points. It has spark but it is weak. Previous owner said cows are spark wires and they're taped up. I will change them and plugs. Points dist cap and rotor I will clean.

Weak spark mean you could have poor connections. Me I would hot wire it before spending any $$ on it that way you know for sure what you need or do not need. I picked up a Case VAC this past summer payed $300 for it. Winched it one the trailer but drove it off by cleaning the points and fixing the fuel line

I'm sure it has poor connections. I meant to hot wire the coil today but had other things to get done. The plug wires are graphite and are chewed through. The plugs look bad and need cleaned but I would rather change them.
Thanks you for your help!

I did not get it. Someone in Portland bought them. 88 is on Craigslist now. Expect to see the others soon.
Horse shelter has been up to about 4 years. I really need to build something permanent as the Billboard is getting tired.

What all was there for tractors? Was the 88 a gas or diesel? They don't say in the add. I know of another 88 but not sure they will sell it.

A couple Bearcats,1850,1655 ,88 and a Farmall c I think. Maybe more. All had big problems. I think a guy in Portland bought alot of it. He will probably have it on craigslist soon.

One of them has hydra-lectric that I'm think about putting on the other one along with the 3 point. First I need to get it running. I did find out that the mag is working and moving the valve. I am going to use a rocker switch or 2 push button switches to operate it I think.
