After five days my Son finally got the snow plow truck going again. We were suffering with 5 inches of snow with no way to push it, without putting chains on the bobcat or tractor.
Our conveyor/elevator sets next to the garage and my thoughts turned to that.

I was wondering about putting some type of ball hitch at the end to direct the split logs under the house, without moving the elevator back and forth. I was wondering if you have a system of such and would appreciate you posting pictures of it, if you have time. Your pictures of equipment you have is extremely interesting. We are going to give it a try, thinking about a trailer hitch, ball and socket run by cables to direct the split wood left or right. it's like the conveyors at the potato warehouse where I drove truck for, of course their conveyors has a pivot on it. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Respectfully yours,
LOU

Lou Why not just put a shoot on the top end to let them slide in under the roof for piling. If from the end of the splitter set a slide under the end of it with the conveyor under the middle so they can slide into it from both sides.

Lou, I can't help you with that situation. I only use my elevator to load my wood haulers at the landings in the woods. When I bring a load home, I simply back up to one of the doors in the woodshed, and tilt it up so the wood slides back onto the tailgate at waist height, where I grab it up and stack it into sectioned rows. By stacking sections I always have access to seasoned wood.
The only suggestion that I can come up with quickly in my head is an elevator that pivots at the hopper and wheels that are adjustable/steerable to roll in a lateral arc. Like stackers used in quarries, but you would still have to push it from side to side.
I did built this 4 wheel cart to transport split wood from the woodshed to the boiler. It saves carrying multiple arm loads of wood into the shop to stoke the boiler.
I have burned about 6 cord of wood so far this year. Lit the boiler on the 17th of Oct. It has run 24/7 since.
I'm glad that you see that you are posting more. You must be feeling better.
Good luck with your solution what ever it may be.
