Hey Ed. Here are the pictures of your orchard last spring.

I don't know what the different trees are by the colours are but I'm sure you do.

All the best. Grant

Ps. The last picture is one of my fields at harvest last year.

I knew cranberries were grown in the Richmond area, but didn't know any were grown on Vancouver Island. I used to be involved in the industry in Grayland and Ilwaco. Nice website, by the way.

Hi, the trees in the photos with white blossoms are cherry trees, next to the grapes is 1 row of apricots also white, pale pink are peach trees. The real bright pink is a weeping peach ornamental. On the left following the creek in the fenced area is a row of wine grapes, in 1st photo. Thanks for posting those photos. Ed Will

Coosoo, there are several farms on the island with cranberries. The cranberries farms here tend to be in valleys adjacent to lakes and...its hard to find more than 40-80 acres of "flat" land here and our fields are built 3-5 acres.
In Richmond, Delta, and Pitt Medows there are large areas (2-3000 acres) along the Fraser River Delta that are withing 2-3 feet of grade. Fields tend to be 10-20 acres and can be graded within an 1" or 2".

I moved over here in 2001. My parents farm is in Richmond and I'm still back and forth for a couple days each week. Sorry that pictre went sideways.
