Next month is the show in Louisville, Ky. I have never been there, but thinking about going. Has anyone ever been there, and what are your thoughts about it? I heard it is more for the bean & corn farmers, than the vegetable farmers. Is this true?

Not been in few years even though I am only 45 minutes away but I remember mostly row crop equipment. I did see some tabbaco stuff iirc but since I row crop was not paying attention to other items.

Didn't go to the very first one in 1965, but did go to the second one. Something for everyone if you can stand the walking!

It's worth going to at least once but Saturday will be a packed house to the extent that it is hard to walk through the event. If you like tractor/truck pulls you'll see some of the best. Yes there is a lot of big row crop equipment but it also has a lot of smaller stuff as well. Lots of good eats and lots to see.

I've probably missed it twice in the last 15 years. Now I just flat out make the time. It is very interesting and they pretty much have something for everyone. Nice big indoor show it's always really busy we usually go on Thursday. Can generally make it through in a half a day but we usually only go to look at a couple specific things. It's worth going to but I think everything being on the internet take a little bit away from it but still a great show and it's only about an hour drive for us. Just wear your walking shoes and pack some aleve. Your legs and knees will be feeling it

I've lost count how many times I've been there, pretty much something for everyone.
As was mentioned a few days ago if you cross the I-65 bridge(the new one) you'll get a bill in the mail for $4 each way. May want to drive your brother-in-law's car ;-)

It would be about a 7 hour drive. Weather is what concerns me driving from Michigan this time of year.

I have been there many times and have taken a lot of people that have had nothing to do with farming and never heard of anyone being disappointed. If anybody wants to fly in the show is just across the highway from Standiford airport. The FBO has a shuttle that runs all day. If you want to overnight it, it is a must to have room reseverations. The pork chop sandwiches along with the trout sandwiches are my favorites although the banana splits are worth writing home about also. Take time to go, I know that you will enjoy it.

Well worth the trip. We always take 2 days. One day to enjoy the whole thing would be rough. Have some mad money cause there's lots of stuff to buy. Came home one year with a 3 point wood chipper. Go, you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I went 5-6yrs ago. Wasn't much there we could afford, but still was worth the trip from Michigan. We enjoyed it.

You never what to expect down here. I remember skipping school to come down here at we wore t shirts. Took some of my collage buddies a few years later and it was cold and ice. If you decide to go give me a shout and ill give you a weather report. I am half way between Indy and Louisville right along I 65.
