Hi, I am a real neophyte with computer stuff. I would like to post some photos of my tractors etc. Some of my orchard and sites from around here. I was wondering if you have to put the photos into a certain pkg then send, or can you just select from your storage like you would attach to an email.
Maybe I could email to somebody and they could post. Just saying, thinking out loud. Ed Will

Hopefully you're using modern view. But if not, switch to it. Then go to the Site Comments forum and read a thread called "Can't upload Pictures". It gives step by step instructions on how to do it.

When you click Upload Photos,it should take you right to your own photo files in your computer. Click on the one you want to upload and go from there. Just be sure to click Continue after the thumbnail shows up. Depending on your computer speed,it can take a while.

I use Classic view and do as RRLund suggested. Never have a problem loading pics.

In classic view.

Go to the bottom of the page and click on "upload photo.

A box will open. Now click on browse...

This will open a new window. Find the picture on your computer and double click on it.

a248402.jpg

This will put the address of the picture in the upload box.

a248403.jpg

Now click upload.

a248404.jpg

Once the picture has uploaded to this site the box will change and you should see a thumbnail of your picture in the right corner.

Now press continue. Watch the Optional Image URL box. Once a address appears your picture has been added and you can proceed.

When you hit Preview Your Post you should be able to see your picture and words just as it will show in the post.

Little different kind of picture question. All my pictures in photo gallery on windows 10 are shown individually. When I go to browse to find a picture to post on here, they are in folders. It is hard to tell what pictures are in the folders so I have to open the folder. Whoops, wrong one, and this gets frustrating. Question is , why are they shown as in folders and all laid out individually and or , how to get them to be individual pictures.

My main reason for sending him to modern view was that those steps were already laid out in the post I referenced. Just trying to save you some work.
In modern, that thread is right near the top of page one. In classic you have to go all the way back to page 7 to find it.

Ed Will,

Just remember that if, after clicking Continue, your photo fails to upload... then the file size might be too large for this site to accept it. If so, you must reduce the file size. I use a photo editing program to resize pics, some have said they use either Paint or Word Pad program (sorry can't remember which one)... but there should be some threads on resizing photos too.

Ed, I will try to find the pictures of your orchard you sent me last year and post them. Or email me some others and I will put them up.

Thanks for talking with me last week about starting an orchard. I got some good information from C&O but also talked with the Bylands Nuserey in Kelowna...we'll see what they have avalible.

Thanks again, Grant

Yes.

This is one method/way of posting a picture in Classic View.

You might consider reorganizing the photos on your computer inside different folders that you can easily locate and identify.

Take a look at the photo below.

Note that there is a different folder containing photos of each of our John Deere tractors.

This is one method of creating a new folder.

Right click anywhere on the desktop to display the option box.

a248523.jpg" height="300" width="250"

Select the New option.

a248524.jpg" height="300" width="250"

Select the Folder option.

A new folder icon will appear on the desktop.

The name "New folder" will be highlighted in blue.

Type a descriptive name that you can remember for this new folder.

You can now organize and arrange existing photos by either copying or moving them to this folder.

Hope this helps.
