A few days ago I bought a set of mitt wool liners. Stupid me didn't check them well enough before the buy and when checking at home they were both for the left hand. Took them back. They exchanged for a new pair 1 left and 1 right. I noticed that the slip the clerk put with the "2 lefts" pair said DESTROY. I didn't ask but since they were still perfectly good, if matched correctly, why would they destroy them?

It's about money, cost less to discard them than to pay shipping back to mfg, then they have to be inspected and returned to the line. Just not worth the trouble.

That happens a lot. I needed a valve cartridge for a Delta faucet. Went to HD and Lowes, they didn't stock it.

Went to the plumbing supply where I bought it about 5 years ago. The counter man looked at it, went to the back room, came back saying no.

Then he said "wait a minute, seems I remember..."

He pulled a box from under the counter, had a bunch of different cartridges in it. He said they dissembled and scrapped a bunch of faucets that didn't sell.

Said the factory gave them credit for the faucets, didn't want them back, but didn't want them sold on clearance, so had to be scrapped.

Got a free cartridge out of the deal!

I am right handed but wear out the left glove first -- have not figured that out yet-- maybe its because my wife is a lefty---LOL

My wife is left handed, has a cup that says " Everybody was born lefthanded untill they commited their first sin"

Just celebrated 50 years of marriage and the wife said the other day, you look so awkward doing things with that left hand. Really after 50 years and I'm just hearing this!
