OT military

Don't know about the wings, but when I wore the missile badge when I only had two stripes a lot of the officers at Maxwell (sir university) wondered if I was out of uniform. As an instructors in the missile engine course at Chanute we were some of the first ever issued the missile badge.
I was at Maxwell for the Academic Instructor school.

Why would anyone wear an Air Force uniform? Because only a few can be a United States Marine.

I'm teasing. Love the A-10.

I think if you look close the "wings" are different. So they are not two sets of the same "wings". So he is qualified in two different specialties that allow/require him to wear two sets.

I personally was a friend with fellow that was a Pilot Physician and a Pilot commander. He wore two sets of "wings"

I gotta admit it, I tried to join the Air Force first, but was rejected because I'm missing my left index finger to the second joint due to a childhood accident.

The Marine Corps wasn't quite so picky. I wound up in aviation in the Corps anyway, so I guess it came out about the same.

I as a lowly Captain wore two sets of "wings" (the maximum amount) one because I was qualified as an Aircraft and Munitions Maintenance Officer so I wore the maintenance wings or crab and one as I was a graduate of the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordinance School so I wore the EOD crab. If he's an AWACs crew member he probably has a badge for that and another badge from a previous assignment like Pilot or Navigator and of course if he was a Zoomie (Academy Graduate) he'd have the parachute badge.
