Ford 800 series Tractor

I want to sleeve my pressure hydrolic line for a Ford 850. The line that goes thru the transmission. I want to do this with out splitting the tractor. I believe I need a 3/8" stainless steel line. I guess a regular brake line would work. What is the length I need?

There was a very good detail in the Ford column about how to proceed. I do believe metric tubing was used. Search the archives;
it was several years ago.
