It was time to test fit the front bumper/grill guard to the 831C, It was heavier than I could handle, so I had to invent a lifting tool. I welded a piece of 3/8" rod to top of the 1"OD pipe that I used to align the front draw pin hole and clamped it into the pocket with a vice grip. It lifted up level enough with my cherry picker, so I could slide the main frame onto the nose of the tractor and bolt it fast. Everything fit. Woopee. Once the main frame was fastened, I set the grill guard on the frame. I'm happy with the way it looks. Ran out of new steel so reverted back to my stash of Kubota crates to finish it off. Still need to weld the bottom flanges on the grill guard and bolt it to the main frame. Also need to fab a bracket on center uprite that will bolt to cultivator frame within the grill assy.
Phase III will be a front fender that will look similar to the pic of the front fenders that I built for my 931, except it will bolt solid to the frame that I
I built. Spent some time cutting cardboard up today to mock up my front fender design. Stay tuned.
