Movie last night

A kinda interesting movie last night that caught my attention when the synopsis said it was about a giant wheat farm in Texas. "Days of Heaven" had some interesting scenes of wheat binding, shocking, and threshing. Supposedly took place in the 1915 or so era. Didn't stay up late enough to see the last of the movie. Had never seen the movie before, maybe some of you have.

taped it ,.. it supposedly was narrated from the eyes of a child ,,. this stly e of move has a name ,..a lot of people ,extras . acting like they are working shoking sumthin ,.. sure did not look like wheat,. far more than what were needed to make the movie historically accurate ,,. to the movies credit ,there were many old trains and depots , binders and threshers, wagons vintage steamers of all brands ,, including CASE ,. although their role and what they were doing there is like all those people there too ,,. just damconfusing , whoever directed the movie did not have a clue what he was supposed to depict as far as a true grain harvest and whomeverr wrote it depictd a character that was so immature to grasp what was happening around them , and the goofie husband and wife pretending to be brother /sister living arrangement ,. is just plain weird ,.. maybe they act that way in thosor even e (....stan) countries in the middle east,. but that was not common in the good ol USA in 1915 or even 1815 . ahw heck ,, its just a movie ...

I concur with you. I thought they jumped from one subject to another without any kind of lead in so it was a little hard to follow. Noticed right away that lots of the scenes with wheat really wasn't wheat at all, some looked liked oats and some looked like some kind of tall grass. Also agree that it was poorly directed, with lousy technical advice but what the heck, it was somewhat entertaining. Watched it more for the scenes of old steam engines, horses and old trucks than for the story line. I'm old enough to have been involved with what little threshing was still being done in the 1940's and 50's to appreciate being able to watch some old machines at work. Too bad we didn't take pictures and movies back then.
