beef prices at the store

just got the flyer this morning,dint know if its good or bad,,just thought some may like to see beef prices?

In my opinion it is good when the price is reasonable to where more people can afford to eat beef on a regular basis which maintains steady demand. The cattle business is all about percentages, some years are not near as good as others but I have never lost money on an individual cow who lived at least long enough to produce 3 calves, most produce 8-10 calves. Steady is a heck of a lot better than boom and bust.

Prices in the stores haven't been coming down all that much, at least around here. That is if the prices are coming down at all.

Your prices are better than MN. I don't understand the disconnect between 1.00 market and 5.00 retail. It hasn't come down since the great beef famine of '012.

The other day at sprawlmart they had ground beef in a 10 lb tube for 17.60, probably came from china.

Diminished purchasing power of the dollar...commonly called inflation.Get a ten year old newspaper and look at the grocery store ads.You will be amazed.That's what happens when the money supply is increased with nothing to back it up.Dollar Used to be gold backed but Nixon took us completely off the gold standard back in 1971 I think.Inflation is the result when money can be printed with nothing to back it up.

Dressed market at the packers is a little over 2 dollars then freight ect Beef is as always a good bargain and if you compare it to a bottle of water its a giveaway price. My opinion glad to pay whatever it is cause i know the people who raise it and i sure dont want them going out of the buwiness. Food in this country is cheap and we never run out and praise thoes who make it available 24/7. If we dont eat we die as ive never seen anyone go broke buying food.
