have a 2015 dodge ram 1500, have lost one of the key fobs. what kind of a deal am I getting into getting a replacement? thanks in advance for the info.
 
I think it depends on the vehicle, but from what I understand, replacement cost and programming could add up between $200 and $500 dollars. I was told by a Buick dealer recently on a new Buick about 300 dollars for replacement.

Maybe someone else here can find the relevant post and put a link here for you...

But there was a post where someone purchased a programmable key fob online for maybe only $50 and programmed it themselves. Someone mentioned the vehicle manual would have instructions for doing this.

There was a "caution" in the post too... to do with the programming.

I looked for the post to give you a link - but can't find it. Seems like it was either in Tractor Talk or in Tool Talk (but I'm not positive as I also read the Case and Farmall forums).
 
go to Replacemyremote.com. They have remote fobs for every known fobs. I just ordered one for my 2003 truck for $30.00. Dealer wanted $85.
 
You do not need the dealer,find your local locksmith. And call more than one. If you go to one of our local ford dealers for a key or fob, they send you to my brother. Do not wait till you loose the other one, the price really goes up.
