Just where yours is. Mine is white though. It has not been cut/shaved since the blizzard of 1977 in northern Ohio. 40 years
in about a month. Jim

I quit shaving every Sept and then in April or May I then start shaving again. Learned years ago that a beard keeps your face a whole lot warm in the winter time. But as I got older the more it turned gray/white

Mine is in the hillbilly range. The woman I staz with make's me chop
it back before it get's to Santa stage.

Mine's about 1/2" shy of yours, LittleD. I start it the 1st or 2nd week of October and it comes off
about early/mid May depending on the warming weather trends. Mine's a lot of salt/pepper for some
reason, only got one spot of grey, about the size of a silver dollar on my head!!

Mine is white. "Truckerly". Not been cut since 1974. My children wouldn't know me without it!

Mine is pretty much Santa Clausly. I've had a beard since 1976 when everyone in the shop grew a beard for the bicentennial and I was the only one to keep one. Pure white and bald with the pot belly too. John

This is maybe at the Sea Capt stage. This was taken right right before Xmas. I grew it out till June, wife couldn't stand it any longer. She has
never seen me without the beard, 30 plus years now, and that's the 2nd love of my life, my granddaughter.

Never did like to shave , and if I wanted to look shaved , it was a twice a day job
. And while it used to be red , it has faded down to brown, with streaks of silver.
Got it cut back to Sea Captianly right now , but it will be more Hillbilly by
spring . I have had a beard for just over 30 years now. One of our sons friends saw
our wedding picture and asked my son "was that your mom's first husband "? I didn't
have any whiskers on our wedding day. Bruce

Well, I grow mine starting October 1st every year. I usually get sick of it by now, but some guys at work and I have pooled in $10 each. Last one to trim/shave their beard wins the pot.

This is the longest I have gone.. And it has earned me titles such as "Red-Bearded Ragnar" as well as Yukon Cornelius. Sure has kept my face warm this year with all the below zero weather we have been having. (And there is even a photo of half of my stable mates, to keep it tractor-related)!

October to April, that is all I need for the cold weather. When the wife says I need to trim it I run the clippers but I don't trim the beard!

I have a Indian beard a patchy here and a patchy there Or as my uncle said that I look like a dog with
mange. Another old guy asked me why would you cultivate something on your face that grows wild around
your backside. Thats just a few for us guys that cant grow a beard

I worked for a guy that did not allow beards for 13 yr. The job I have had since I could not get in the chemical plants with a beard. The plants have changed their policy's, but now it is too white to grow Mustache has been growing since 1974(I shaved it for graduation)

I can probably qualify for Cavemanly.

I keep it trimmed, but haven't shaved since the winter of 79 or 80, the year my plumbing stayed frozen from December to March.

Wife was trying to get me to shave it. I think I convinced her that it covers up too much ugly, she wouldn't be able to take it! LOL

No beard for me, it would be white if I did. I shaved mine in 1984 and have shaved at least every other day since. I don't let my head hair get longer than about 1/2" at least what hair there is. I worked in dusty conditions most of my life and it was just too hard to keep clean. I can wear face protection the few cold days that we have.

Started growing mine November 1. Thinking I may let it grow
till my 40th high school reunion in April. It sure helps keep
my face warm in our cold NE Wisconsin winters.

I'm not even on the scale. I keep mine trimmed with the dog clippers, 1/4" spacer thingy. Same as my head. They both get trimmed once per week.

Mine is about Captainly I guess. Have had it since 1971 and the mustache since 68. Grew both as soon as the navy would allow it and haven't shaved since. Hate shaving,
well I guess I do, don't know for sure since I haven't done it for so long. I tend to trim it shorter for summer and let it grow for the winter. By trim time it will
probably be somewhere around hillbilly.

Since we have to qualify annually for respirator/SCBA at work, the longest mine could be is one years' worth. That is far from the living factor, as mine remains weak at best. Most of the blonde has turned gray.

I start mine is Sept every year and grow it till April. I don't do any trimming until after deer season. Then I'll try and keep it trimmed till its gets to warm then I shave it off.
