Update - First time using turning plow

I got to use the Mahindra 4550 on a 3 bottom plow. The plow is a Massey-Ferguson Model 66. I know I did not have it adjusted perfect but it did the job this time.

Some of you may remember that I was plowing to be able to put in food plots for next year to feed the deer and turkey. This was the ground that has not seen a plow in 25-30 years.

Take a look at the videos and provide some feedback on what I could have done better.

Thanks

Ha! You are doing a far better job than some who claim to be experts! One thing I saw is you need to level the plow side to side, it is deep on the RH side. Looking from the rear the frame should be level side to side with the lay of the ground, NOT the tractor. A way to get it close side to side and front to rear is to run the left side tires up on some 8" blocks and let the plow down until it just touches the ground. The front and back should touch at the same time, adjust that with the top link. Then level it side to side (again with the lay of the ground not the tractor) by looking from the rear. You can also do this by stopping with the plow in the ground and the tractor in the furrow. Also check the cut of the first bottom it should be the same as the other tow. Adjust that by moving the lifting cross bar in the plow frame.

Thanks for the info. The cross bar does not appear the be adjustable. I think I can get the side to side level using the lower link are adjustments though. Would that work?

All please continue witht the feedback I will not be upset just a 52 year old trying to learn.

Sure hope my first plowing experience turns out that well. Still waiting on parts for my MF 62 3 bottom and now it's too late to get anything done before spring.

Good job..
