Shop door seal finished

Finally finished sealing up the sliding door on the shop. I used some pipe insulation as was suggested. I just slid some over some pipe. I used 3 different sections of it so it would conform to the floor better. There is a little bit of a slope on the concrete so it stays in place fine.

That looks like a good seal. I need to do my 2 sliding doors on my shop. Could you post a photo of the door half open showing the end of the seal?
And did you fasten the pipe to the door bottom and slip the insulation over it?
Thanks,

I just used regular 1" pipe, I believe it was, and slipped 3 foot strips of pipe insulation over it to cover it all. I didnt fasten anything to the floor or the door so it can be removed when I open the door and dont have anything to wear out from driving over it.

I wanted to get it as tight as an overhead door which I was able to do, luckily. On
the top, I used the vinyl strip with a rubber strip like is used on garage doors.
The panels I put on with screws so I can replace a section without having to replace
the foam behind it as well. I wouldnt have minded an overhead door but for an extra
$3000 plus having to make the side wall higher to accommodate it, I figured I could
get by this way fine.

Looks real nice and functional. $3000 for a OH door? You need some Amish around. I just had a 7x11 R12 insulated door installed on my shop for less than $800.

Overhead doors can be leaky too if the rollers are a little sloppy. You have done a nice job on your door.
