RRLund - Olly S-66 for you

Looks and sounds like one of the guys in a Facebook group I'm in. He didn't price it out yet then, just decided it was this one over his 16xx. Seems a bit steep.

Donovan from Wisconsin

Pretty pricey but I guess a lot would depend on what 'completely restored' means.New paint or a total tear down and put back together with all new bearings and any gears that shows any wear
what so ever. If its basically like a new tractor then it'd be pretty good if that's what you want.

Let's go take a look. lol

The first 660 made is advertised for sale in a few magazines. That's about what they're asking for this one. I think I'll have to pass on both. The resulting divorce would cause me to have to sell it anyway.

Which brings up the question, why replace all the bearings and gears if its just going to be a parade tractor? Would make more sense just to make it look pretty, and make it so it runs good, doesn't smoke, and doesn't make any unwanted noises. IHMO, even if it has had a "complete" restoration, its not worth the money because you can get a much better "using" tractor for less money.

There's a 1655 on there with a total restoration too,for $8500. Same contact information. Guy's name is Don.

I would not pass on part of the job just because I would not "use" the whole job. Pride of work and ownership makes you do the whole job.
