High quality 1/4 inch drive hex bits

I need to purchase some 1/4 inch drive hex bits but the quality needs to be good. The ones I have now the hex part falls out of the drive portion often. The tip is only held in by a little set screw. Can someone recommend a brand that is good and has small sizes such as 3/16, 5/32, 1/4, 9/32 etc. Thanks in advance.

I have a couple of the set screw type, I ground a small pocket in the side of the hex for the set screw to go into and then locktite the set screw. If the hex
were soft enough for the set screw to bite into it wouldn't be any good!

Chuck this may not work for your need. A few years ago I was screwing down a bunch of decking on my deck and the screw bit kept falling out of the little socket thing. I took the socket and coiled a wire around it and touched both ends to a battery to magnetize it and I still use it all the time and they still dont fall out.

Snap on cornwell mac and older craftsman. The first 3 will repair/replace them if they brake. I have not had one of those come apart have seen cheap ones do so. If there is one size you use all the time get an extra just in case as the tool truck may be a week out.

I have a 3/8 and 1/2 Snap-On sets. They are also helded in with set screws. The little ones fall out and disappear, but the bigger ones don't.

On that kind of tool it is worth the extra money to buy Snap-on, Mac, Matco, or any of the higher end tools. They last allot longer and if you break one they hand you another and you move on.
