World Series

Games are for children.

"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.".

Some people like tractors!!!! Some people like tractors and professional sports. Thats fine with me. Some people don't care about one or the other that's ok also. If I could find an old timers league I might drive my tractor over and play a few innings. that's what I think. gobble

Don't care who wins. Have not seen a ball game since 1984. Boss gave me 2 tickets to world series. Felt kind of obligated to go.

I think iʻve learned from kruser we should all be saying go cubs? Lol.

I couldnʻt tell ya any more then what Iʻve seen kruser say and I donʻt really care. Donʻt have any problem with someone liking them though. All these people that ask what my favorite sports team is or favorite sport, Geeʻs, I have no idea! Is working on tractors a sport?

I feel the same way. I hope the Cubs win though, I just kinda of feel bad they haven't won in over a hundred years lol

I don't really care one way or the other who wins. I live 300 miles from Chicago and 200 miles from Cleveland. But all I seem to here about here is the cubs on the news??? I guess I don't understand the big deal about them. I think Cleveland his had enough problems with their economy and such. I guess I would rather see something good happen to them. Even though they did win it all in basketball earlier.

Baseball and BORING, start with B. I just love watching guys whose base salary is more than some small countries GDP - chew, spit -scratch their nutz and play a silly game. My $.05

Don't know and don't care. Only time I ever watched a ball game was at the NCO academy when we were on lock down, Went to the day room and that's what the guys were watching.

I watch maybe, three game a year. I root for the Cardinals when they are playing in the WS, and any teem playing the Cubs.

Anyone familiar with Cubs history knows they will find someway to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This could be the year... Maybe.

I'm not a big baseball fan but I like to see something positive happening in Cleveland, so I watch. I don't give a rat's a$$ for NBA basketball either but I watched the championship series in June. We can tolerate the Browns because we have Ohio State.

The last time I actually went to a professional baseball game, was when my wife was 9 months pregnant with my daughter, who is now 22. We had actually included a co-worker of mine, so my co-worker, my wife and myself actually all sat together. Being about as big as a blimp (pardon the pun), she had to go to the restroom about once every inning. Toward the end of the game, she got up to hit the restroom and asked if we needed anything. We told her that she could get us a couple of large beers. My wife was not drinking, of course. After using the restroom, she went to the concession stand to buy two large beers. We all got a huge laugh out of all this, because the lady behind the concession stand gave my wife a wrinkled-up stare as my wife ordered two large beers. As my very-much-pregnant wife was walking back to us, carrying two large beers, everybody who looked at her had a look on their face of sheer disgust. We laugh about it to this day. I have no desire to ever see a pro game in person again, but I will check the scores or possibly watch one on TV.
One pro sport that I absolutely can't stand is basketball. How can anybody pay good money to see that?

The best pitcher Cleveland ever had was from Iowa. The Heater from VanMeter--Rapid Robert plus he served in WW2 and missed a few seasons----BOB FELLER

It used to be the wife and I who did not watch baseball all year would always watch the Series. However since the conversion of the TV signals I no longer have a shop Tv and have lost interest in sports ,football included. If I can't keep busy with my hands I am not happy. TV in the shop has been replaced by turntable and lots of records. The behavior of the athletes also does not impress me. The guy who does not stand up for the national anthem deeply saddens me that he is so clueless.
