Tracked down a second Skid Steer.

Been looking for a second skid steer , so I could have one at both farms. My Thomas is getting pretty tired , I have had it over 29 years. Needed a small machine , like my old one , 42 - 46 inches wide , and less than six feet tall. I need a small unit to get into calf pens .These small units are not built by most companies anymore. Found a New Holland LS125 , with a bucket and a manure fork , with only 400 hours , for $7,500. Canadian funds. Seems like a good enough deal for me . Liquid cool Diesel ,nice and quiet too. I will post a picture of it when I get it home. Bruce

Sounds like a good deal. The New Holland skid steers are pretty good ones. How is the room inside it??? I find many of the narrow skid steer loaders are pretty cramped inside.

Fits about like a rubber glove , but easier to handle then a manure fork.

Sounds like a great deal to me! After hiring some drainage work done for the first time in a long time, and picking all the rock, I decided I needed a tool to pick rock. I've seen and used different rock pickers over the years, and never liked any of them. Hired a neighbor to come help with these recent rocks with his telehandler and rock bucket. That inspired me to look for a little skid steer on tracks, so I could negotiate soft ground without sinking and packing the ground. The best deal I could find cost me twice what you paid, to get it on my driveway! Ironically, it came from your area!

My cousin likes everything New Holland. He normally keeps four skid steers around. One cleans the alleyways, one loads the grains into the mixer wagon and manages the feed inside the main barn. The third works mainly in the silos loading the mixer wagon on that side and pushing back feed in the young stock barns. Then there is a spare to back the others up. The one for the silos has grown each time that he replaces one to the point that it is nearly the size of a small wheel loader, much wider and longer than skid steers used to be.
