Sensor wires broke flush

I broke the wires on an oil pressure switch. They snapped off flush. I know there is a way to solder these back on as I have seen it done a long time ago on a starter solenoid. Does anyone have any advice or a trick or two for soldering wires back on?

Thanks

use a rasor knife to dig a little around each broken wire. Use a good clean soldering gun or small iron and tin the new wire leaving a small blob of solder hanging on the end. Put the blob on the broken wire in the small crater and heat it, melting it onto the conductor. Jim

I fixed a module on a Gleaner combine by drilling out the area around the wire with a Dremel moto tool with a small end mill style tip. It is easier to control than a knife. Then soldered the wire and filled the area with epoxy. It was a magnetic clutch, new price was $800.
