LP conversion

On converting an appliance an orifice is all that is required since you are using gas in both instances. On the tractor you may be bypassing some plumbing to add something of a different type.

Here is a comparison on the gasses/liquid states: http://www.exothink.com/Pages/btu.html

Comparing by the #, it's 2570P to 1075 NG, both being in the vapor form. So your orifice would have to be 2.5x increase in area. However, NG is vapor and propane is 91k BTU (liquid). So it seems to me that you would need a conversion kit to liquify the NG via a Liquifier (LNG) or a compressor (CNG) to get adequate BTUs to run your tractor under load.

Here is another site that helps to relate the two: http://www.propane101.com/propanevsnaturalgas.htm.
