Ah, there was a little red engine in the load....will have to find it and take a closer look.

That's an early wico magneto from a ihc la gas engine. Only
the first year or so used that mag. They were ok magnetos at
the time but didn't age well. Usually have bad coils. I'm
actually working on a similar mag right now.
