Hi Larry, Thanks for posting the nice pictures. Couple of question's. The area you now have your staging and the two sliding doors, was there another floor previously in that area, or the doors were used for something high. What type of farming was carried out on the farm, seem's to be many building's all in good condition, and I know you are always keeping everything in top condition. You are an energized person. Cheers, Murray

the doors were for getting hay in and out,the barm is a bank barn, hay on top .animals underneath.Iwould say it was a gemeral farm in its day, they had a two story chicken coop on one side of the barn too

if its not raining too hard I Have to pressure wash it,brush on bleach and tsp, then pressure wash..I think I have enough scaffold to get that side in one swoop..I Had to do 1/2 at a time on the high side

Keep on painting. It's a great improvement that will last a long time. What are you going to do after you get all that painting done?

Very nice job Larry!!! It is nice to see someone restoring these old barns instead of selling the lumber for crafts.

Is the pump going in a well; or cistern that collects rain water? Any idea how deep? I'm not a real
pump expert but to fix the pump you will most likely need to utilize that covered hole in the roof.
Most pumps like that had the pump section down at the bottom under water. So you have to pull it
out to fix what is stuck on the bottom end. If it is very deep things get a little complicated when you
don't have the windmill tower over the top to support it.

Larry,

The barn is looking GREAT! It would be fun to get that old hand pump working... neat piece of
history.
