JD 328 Baler

Agreed. The same model listed in Fastline runs between 8,000 and 15,000 - and they've had a lot more than 500 bales run through them.

That was one of the very few bargains there, things went really high for the most part just the opposite of what the last few auctions had been I attended. Two Oliver 88 tractors pretty rough motors were loose but no side panels tires and rims basically needed a lot of work or needed replacing bought $900 and $1050.They'll have a fortune in them if they fix them up.Heard about 500
bidders registered and there was a 10% buyers premium.Never can tell how an auction will go I did get one tractor bought at a pretty good price I needed some parts off of.

I had the local John Deere dealer do a kicker rebuild on my 346 this past spring, new hydraulic pump and kicker control valve. When I picked it up, the mechanic who worked on it said... "You've put a lot of money in a baler this old, but when a new baler is $25,000, I can see why.""

That was a good deal. I bought a 338 last year no kicker owner said 5000 bales with chute for $8000 Cdn. With our exchange on the dollar I don't think $30000 would bring home a new one.

Only $7000?? Does sound like a steal. If it is the baler and auction I'm thinking about it was bought by a jockey near me. I saw it go online already last night with an asking price of $17,500.
