I posted on the combine forum, but did not get many responses. So has anyone got a wiring diagram,or trouble shooting tree for CIH 1660 combine with a 1020 header? While checking on the header height wiring, somewhere along the line the reel quit. The ground on the corner of the feeder house is good.We got the header height working, just need to get the reel going again. Thanks,Mark

well, for one thing, did you accidently put the reel speed on automatic? there would be no reel movement until to put the combine in motion. other than that, maybe check to see if it has a fuse. i dont know that. or if the drive coupler has come unattached.

We had it on manual, and the fuses in the fuse panel were all good. There was no hydraulic flow to the reel. Thanks,Mark

There are two speed adjust knobs for the reel.
One is by the auto-manual select switch the other is located under the arm rest on my 2366.
Can't remember where they put it of the 1660.Maybe under the fuse cover?

One is to set the speed weather in manual or auto.

The other calibrates the speed of the reel to ground speed.

They both have to be turned up from stop some for the reel to turn.

Also make sure you don't have a couple of hoses crossed at the feeder house. Been there done that.

Just a couple of items to check

Depending on your serial number there's a solenoid-controlled valve on the left side of the feeder house to start and stop the reel. Check if you have power to it. After the serial number break this valve was moved up behind the panel on the left side of the cab. If the valve is shot it's no longer available from CIH (I've been dealing with this valve leaking oil - CIH dealer said IF it was available it would cost something like $1,400!).

EC - valve is below the cab on the left side on later models. Edit feature isn't working.
