John Deere B rear wheel hubs B2188R

Ack

New User
Would like to know the difference between a B2188R bolt in hub and a B2096R. I have a set of cut off wheels that had A2994R hubs and need to figure out what B hubs I need to find so that I can use them. Thanks for the help

My book shows that the B2188 hub fits serial numbers B60000 and up.

B2096 hub fits B60000 thru B200999.

Take a look at the diagram below.

Note the rear wheel hub (Key 4) [b:654c4848f0]B 2188 R[/b:654c4848f0] and rear spoke type wheel for rubber tires (Key 6).

Rear wheel hub [b:654c4848f0]B 2188 R[/b:654c4848f0] is designed for "factory flat spoke" wheels designed for mounting rubber tires.

Take a look at the diagram below.

Note the hub (Key 4) [b:654c4848f0]B 2096 R[/b:654c4848f0] and flat tire steel wheel (Key 6).

Hub [b:654c4848f0]B 2096 R[/b:654c4848f0] is designed for "skeleton" steel wheels that do not have a rubber tire.

Take a look at the diagram below.

Note the hub (Key 4) [b:654c4848f0]A 2994 R[/b:654c4848f0].

Hub [b:654c4848f0]A 2994 R[/b:654c4848f0] is designed for "skeleton" steel wheels that do not have a rubber tire.

Presuming that the only difference between the Model A wheel (50" x 6") and the Model B wheel (48" x 5-1/4") is the height and width, then the hub [b:654c4848f0]B 2096 R[/b:654c4848f0] for the Model B probably could be used.

Hope this helps.
