O/T... SUV tire recommendations

FIRESTONE FIREHAWK WIDE OVAL A/S(Ultra High Performance All-Season All Season) is what I have had recent very satisfactory performance. Not cheap, not expensive, just right. I have 40K miles on a set with less than 1/2 wear. Unusually even across the tread wear, and good winter traction. On a Subaru Outback. Jim

I'm running Yokohama Geolandar A/T's. I've been happy with them, They do reasonably well in everything but mud. A bit less money than Goodyear and some others. They have a plant in the U.S. now, or so I've been told.

Our 2010 GMC Terrain came with Micheln all-seasons, no problem but at about 80,000 miles
I got the itch for new tires, so I bought some all season cheaper tires.
After a little bit, they began howling so bad I thought the wheel bearings were going out.
$400 later, figured out it was the tires.
Bought another brand of cheap "touring" tires, no more howling, but now after about 15,000
Or so miles, they "sing" on certain roads.
I'm going back to Micheln touring tires.
We live in NY state, where we live snow plows get out really quick, so we don't really need
All-season tires. Terrain is all-wheel drive anyway.
