I have no idea what it will bring ? I do not go to many sales.
But it sure does look good !!!!

Your going to have to put a reserve on to protect yourself.

The investment in money is partially relevant. The investment in time (and learning skills) is very important. Putting a minimum value on it of 1000 seems reasonable. Try to purchase a similar hay hauler. Jim

If the tongue is tight and it tracks well I would think you ought to get a good price. If it is loose I would expect a lot less.

2 Years ago they were selling for 1200.00-1500.00 each. I havn't seen 1 sell since. That 1 has what looks like 5 bolt hubs, lighter duty running gear, might bring less. Good looking hay rack though

At auction be lucky to get 400, might find someone wanting a nice wagon for hayride etc that would pay in the 800 to 1000 range but it won't be fast sale

Sometimes the light gear hurts them, sometimes not. Depends on if there are two guys at the sale that need a hay rack real bad. As the other poster said, seen similar sell $500-800

I would think if you listed it in the local farm paper or craigslist you should get $800 for it reasonably quickly. If this is consigned at an auction in an area where there are a lot of hobby farmers on acreages, you may do even more than that. I am surprised no one has commented on the tires. Those implement tires (9.5L x 15?) look new or near new. $400 right there.

I just built one like that. Have to talk $1000 to get my attention. $800 or so would be a good starting price. ThT said, good haywagons are hard to come by around here. I have 5 and was eyeballing my old grain barge wagon for converting to a hay rack.

the wagon will not tolerate any speed above about 15 mph. that steering setup wonders all over the road. dad bought a john deere wagon new in the 1960's and i still have it. we could pull it at highway speeds no problem at all to go 60-70 mph with it. difference is the tie rods were behind the front bunk and had the car type steering. even remember the nieghbour had ihc wagon and that thing was all over the road. was basically the same set up as your wagon too. i have a massey harris wagon with that same steering also. those are just field wagons not for road. looks like 8 x 12 deck. i predict 650.00.

There's a guy here who builds those, along with kicker racks and green chop boxes. For a flat rack with a back stand,he gets $500 for a 8x16 unpainted,$550 painted. $650 for a 9x18 unpainted,$700 painted.

This is a perfect chance to also teach your 4H ers a bit about marketing. At auction it could bring as low as $400 - $ 500 or as high as $800. Problem is you give up ALL power over the mater to the weather, advertising/auction abilities of auction house, number and type of buyers there at the time etc . If you want the best price you must keep control of such things. You have to play to the right "band" that sees more value in it than just a "small squares hay wagon" for occasional farm use. Even a raffle where you can sell tickets all year at 4H related events and fairs and the like in the name of promoting 4H clubs in general. A little "legal" work to do but easily worth it. 500 tickets at $ 2 ea....no brainer and even better is the exposure to 4H clubs activities for future endevours.

id say at least around a grand, maybe more if there's 2 or more people who want it , and are willing to bump the price to get it

At auction, I'd think it'd be hard to get $500. As has been said, several on craigslist around here that look just as nice for $7-800, and have been there all summer, some since last year.

If it's smaller than 8x16, it's an odd size and I'd stay away unless it's cheap, as they just don't stack/ride the same. We've got 1 wagon that I got for $200. It's 8x14, but it's just a little off when stacking.

You can ask $1500, but I can't guarantee you'll get it...
