Last Allis sold recently, what about other lasts?

The last Allis Chalmers sold at auction recently,
that got me thinking. What about the other brands? I
know that most brands weren't killed off as abruptly
as Allis. Case IH used small IH and large Case
tractors for several years, but there still would
have been a last one built at farmall, for example.
There certainly would have been a last Moline, but
Oliver kind of carried on into White. Does anyone
know about any other lasts? Maybe last American
built Ford or Massey?

red power magazine had an article about the burr ridge engineering center in it.it states that the last tractor IH made was a 5488 font wheel assist that was never sold.

The last IH tractor built @ the Farmall plant was displayed at Farmall land for awhile. It was also displayed at RPRU in Huron SD. This past RPRU, thanks to Nebraska Cowboy I got to see the same tractor again in the Burr Ridge Center.

The last David Brown(1988 Case-IH 1594) was in the US, but made its way back to England and is on display and used by the David Brown tractor club.

Kinda wondering how does being the first or last one affects price. Is having one how does that affect the collectable value? Thread just got me wondering I've got the number 2 1550 it's nice to have I didn't pay anything over the going price for it.

I was watching the online bidding closely on that tractor. It didn't sell for the high bid of $46,000? Just curious.........

Not tractors, but I remember the "last" convertibles in the mid 70's...Caddy comes to mind...a lot of honked off people who paid big bucks to have a "last" vert only to have the manufacturers start making them again.

Fred- I was just getting into the auto detailing business in 1978, when the OEMs were ending convertible production, there was an aftermarket company making convertibles, out of like Oldsmobile Cutlass Cieras and Caddy Eldorados, Toronados, etc. The cars sold for a premium, but looking closely, one wondered how well they would hold up being severely chopped.

One outfit was in California. They made a really slick Toyota rag top that was really beefed up.

Don't Know about other brands but i saw on here a few years back 5010 JD frist one made sold for $50000.00 and first one 330 went for 125000.00
