I get to be.......

a real farmer for a day. Jeff, his older brother and a friend are on their way to Yankee Stadium to watch a Yankees/Orioles game today. (birthday present for them) Two of em are Orioles fans and one is a Yankee fan, so there should be some good-natured ribbing going on all day.

So at any rate, I get to spend some quality time with my granddaughter today doing milking and chores. I can squat down on the bionic knee to put machines on alright but it was easier to go down on one knee. The danged bum shoulders bother more than anything when I have to lift the whole milking unit up and hang it on the pipeline. Didn't even get kicked once, so I'm ahead of the game already! Heading out in a few minutes to get the TMR.

Like I said, quality time with the granddaughter. Life is good.

These few days will remind you why your NOT milking regularly. LOL I help milk for a few neighbors when they need some time off. A few days each year remind me why I told my Grand Father that milking cows was a factory job without benefits. LOL

JD, I don't think the shoulders would take it on a regular basis unless I was milking in a parlor.

Randy, I'm not as good of a cow man as Jeff is. I'm much happier wrangling tractors.

Robin Hood, 53 right now.

I don't think your shoulders would take it in a parlor either. An old guy north of me was telling one time that his knees bothered him in the old stanchion barn, then his son came back and they built a new parlor. He said then the bursitis in his shoulders got the best of him from reaching up.
