23.1 on D14?

Whats the largest tire I can put on a D14 without major issues? my 13.6-26 tire has a slit in it and the spin outs are rusted by the stem. I need something that will bolt on as an economical substitute. Found a variety on line nice 23.1-26 tires and rims but thinking that will be too wide? All I do with the tractor currently is drag trees out for firewood and plow the driveway with the rear blade. From what I have gathered, JD 3300, 4400 rims will bolt on, as well as Gleaner A,E or K rims. Anyone have any others they could share as I search for a workable fix.

The 23.1 x 26 will be way too big. A neighbor had a D-15 he had 18.4 x 26 tires on that where off an IH 303. They where plenty big but worked.

Any standard 8 Lug rim will fit that will clear the final drives, the 23.1 X 26 should go on OK but it'll make the tractor pretty wide and speed it up some but
with the low range range the speed will still be slow enough.I have a couple 23.1 X 26 tires here I'll compare them to the tires on my D15 think they're 13.6 X 26 also to see how much difference there will be.

A 23.1-26 tire is around 64 inches tall compared to your current 50 inches. This is a huge size
difference and will cause the tractor to be 7 inches higher in the back than it is now. With the
back end jacked up this high there is a possibility that your hitch wouldn't go low enough to even
get the blade to the ground.

Thanks guys. Yes I agree 2 foot wide tires would look ridiculous. Going the other way, any issue with 12.4-24's? Do the smaller rims clear the final drive?
