On my white 6105 the e is for economy. Engine runs roughly half rpm to obtain the same pto rpm. Light pto work only.

As Kevin stated below, EPTO increases PTO speed so that 540 PTO RPM is maintained an lower engine RPM in order to save fuel when carrying light PTO loads.

I specified it when ordering my Kubota M9960. It's great for operating a rotary cutter when cover is light.

IIRC, 540 PTO RPM is 2,600 engine RPM in regular mode and around 1,600 engine RPM in EPTO.

Seems like your Kubota runs about like my JD, it drops a little over 900 engine rpm in economy. Has a limiter so you can't over rev the PTO. The most I can get out of mine about 550 at PTO.
