Private Messaging?

I have never been able to use PM.
I always get a message that it is disabled.
Am I doing something wrong?
Can someone explain?

Thanks--that's too bad because I am a member of several other forums and all have PM.
Seems to me, Private Messaging would be a great feature
 
Ya I am also a member on a couple other forums that have that PM thing. One of them is a gun forum which is pretty good
 
In the bottom right corner of your postings you will see "reply" or "send email" If you type in your email address in the header when you draft a thread your post will be "open to private emails. Mine is open. Try a PM to me.
 

Does this work? I've been looking to get ahold of a member here for a while, but haven't heard from him yet.
