Tractor Record

The longest I traveled on the WHO Tractor Ride one year was 118 miles. Pastor John can confirm or deny. I ran out of gas on the 49 SC twice that day. Chuck

There was a story a while back about a family that took a cross country trip, pulling a house/camper trailer. The engine was a Detroit, and they set the high idle up to travel a few mph faster.Hopefully someone else will remember more details.Mark

In 1998 Glen and Betty Martin drove a 2 Cylinder to Alaska from Dalton Ohio. 9500 miles in 126 days. They were raising money for missions.
Google it.

This is what Flemming was looking for. I got an email from Ivan a month ago and he is doing it again. Differant route, leaving Oct 15, from Honey Brook Pa., down to the Gulf of Mexico and on to the West coast.
On his first trip, my wife and I were able to track him down at a camp site near Logansport, Indiana. Met him and made a small donation. Even if it was Green , he had a great looking tractor/ camper rig. Please read his blog of his trip. A proud American.

A guy from TX drove a IH1486 to DC in 1979 to protest failed farm programs. It's in the Smithsonian now. I seen it a couple years ago and the rears are worn in a odd pattern from the hard surface roads.

I seem to recall someone drove a Detroit powered Oliver across the country and dipping the front wheels in the Pacific Ocean. Thought it might have been a supper 99 or a 990. My memory is a bit foggy anymore.

Tede several years ago when Kubota introduced the BX series a fellow drove one of those fro Atlantic Ocean to Pacific Ocean seems like it was about 2 month deal. He stayed overnight in a lot of the KU BOTA dealerships. Seems like he went thru 4 or 5 sets of tires but no other problems.

Manon Ossevoort Drove a deutz tractor for 38,000km so about 24,000 miles during a trip. A while later she finished the trip on a Massey ferguson with 5000 km more to the South Pole.

Don't know about the longest, but the coldest would be the Fergusons that expeditioners used to travel to and from the South Pole. Ben
