Hey Don, whats the name of and where is the place you said was the good generator repair shop in the Crogan/Lowville area? I drove 45 miles to our "local" generator repair shop in Potsdam and he wouldn't even let me drop it off! "Too busy" he says. Fine, so I have to drive back down to Lowville to make a deal at Whites on a hay basket, I might as well try your shop down there.

Get any rain down there? We got about an hour of rain today.

Isn't our "local" guy fun to deal with. He tried that on me once
and I explained that I'd come nearly an hour to get there. He let
me leave it but not to expect it for a while. Then he called the
next day and said it was done. I've got a starter over there now.
He said it would be awhile. It was two days later when he called.
I went to get it and he was gone. A friend of mine is going that
way tomorrow and is supposed to get it for me. He does good work
but I think this heat just makes him miserable to deal with.

Barry Widrick is your guy. His shop is just off NY 26 just before Lowville. Look for his sign on the left. If you get to the State Police station you have gone to far. I bet that you know where that is!

I never take anything to the guy on the Bagdad road, he is too expensive, too independent and often rude. You will like Barry. Call or visit Collier's repair and he will have his phone number or look on line. I usually call and make an appointment and he will try to do the repair while you wait.

If you are at White's, Barry Widrick is just down the road towards Lowville (maybe a mile or a bit more?) and would be on the left side of the road just before the land fill transfer site. And yes, if you get to the State Police barracks, you went 500 yards too far. Barry should be able to fix you right up. He gets all of our alternator/generator/starter/voltage regulator work and he gets most of our hydraulic hose business also.

We got about an hours worth, but no real accumulation. Gotta fire up the portable pump for the garden shortly for the sprinklers.

Don Is Barry Widrick any relation to Joe Widrick ? It's been years but I used to know Joe real good. He had the J D ticket in Lowville. Is it still there ? Thanks Jack

Thanks! Saw that place the other day. We'll drop it off.

Gotta get time to stop and visit you someday Don. There's just no time for fun anymore....

Yeah, I explained I driven an hour but he didn't care. He was a pain the last time I took something over too. I'd rather drive an hour the other way anyways. Can't stand driving through Canton and the Lowville trip has better scenery anyway.

Hey, can you believe I'm actually buying a brand spankin' new piece of equipment?!!! Never thought I'd see the day! My plans for a new/newer rotary rake died though. Maybe next year.
