serial numbers

I'm trying to find some information about my dad's old International tractor. I believe it is an H Farmall. I have the serial number but it does not match anything that I can find. Can anybody help point me in the right direction? Thanks

On the left of this page under research and info you will see serial numbers. Click on that then Farmall/IH and then the model of your tractor and do the math to figure out where your number fit into the beginning of each year

Under the No. 1 spark plug on the "H" model is a small flat area, and there might be a stamped number. If it reads starting out with FBH, FBH#### it is a model "H".

Found it!!! Thank you. I am the proud owner of a 1944 H Farmall. Now comes the fun of restoring it.
