Farmall C Hydraulics

Gentlemen, I'm new to this old tractor scene, but am having trouble with my Farmall C, serial # FC 29031, not Super C. I was having trouble with the hydraulics operations on my C. I have a belly mower deck on it and could not get the hydraulics to operate. Then began to hear a loud squealing from the pump housing next to the distributor, and low fluid. Long story short, I ordered a new pump, new gaskets and O rings and installed it and new hydraulic fluid and an oil change w/ filter, 5 qts. Everything worked. A short test mow of the yard, half hour or so, no hydraulics. Check of the hydro fluid all gone. I drained the engine oil 7 qts of fluid comes out. I have seen talk about an oil seal at the pump, but shouldn't that have been in the new pump I installed? Is there another route for the hydro fluid into the engine pan? Help needed...........

Likely just an o-ring. I had same issue with hydraulic oil getting into the crankcase and solved with a new o-ring. Now, with that said, I cannot recall exactly how or where
the o-ring sits, or if it would have been included in the new pump. I do know I had a guy at one dealership try selling me a new pump for a simple o-ring, or well over $600 when
a couple bucks was the fix. To my knowledge this is the only common place where the hyd oil can enter the crankcase. And I know there were two different pumps on the C, as I had
a very difficult time locating the correct o-ring, and none of the common ones at parts stores would fit or work.
