I am looking for a second hay tractor , no cabs, and older
,no notes, oliver 1600lp, farmall 666 gear diesel bad t/a,
and international 884 . I want a good ride as my back is
bad I have a drum mower and horse power isn't an issue
heat flow back on me and ride are my concerns . Other
brands and configurations considered ? Any and all
comments will be appreciated.

Using a MH 180 for my hay tractor. Enough power and heft to handle a 190 DRUM mower. Do have a front rack full of weights. Counter balances drum well. Also runs and pulls a NH 268 Hayliner with wagon behind. Usually load with up to 120 square bales of 50# or so. Not necesarily recomending this tractor, but one of approximate size and power. This is what wife inherited from her dad's estate.

rrlund I would like to talk you are a well respected oliver man and I could use some of your knowledge, 318-542-0896, thanks Jimmy.

Where in Louisiana are you located? My Oldest Son has a equipment yard and is an Auctiontime rep in Northeast La. Lots of cheap tractors out there now days, any color you want.

I second the Massey guys. I've got a 175 and use the snot out of it. Those little Perkins diesels are hard to beat. Runs a Tedder, Rake, and occasionally square bales with hay baskets behind it. Plenty of power for those jobs and easy on fuel. Nimble little guy and they're not going to break the bank.

I've got an Oliver 1755, and it's a great hay tractor. I use kicker wagons, and run quite a lot of hills - it's heavy enough to not get pushed around, and the three speed shift on the fly is really handy, especially when you get into varying conditions and grades.
