OT; different speed demon

This was 2 weeks back while I was in SW Va. Trooper working I-81 stops a vehicle south bound doing >90 in a 70 zone. Issues citation to young, female driver and sends her on her way. Shortly thereafter, this trooper stops a car NORTH bound 81 doing >90. Yup, same driver. Issues a second citation and sends her on her way. A brief time later, a second trooper stops a car SOUTH bound 81 doing >90. Same driver. She now has 3 citations for between 92 and 96 in a 70 zone within an hour so this time she's hauled off to the klink.

Her mother arrives 3 days later from California to spring her and the Roanoke paper quotes her as saying how distressed she is because this event traumatized her daughter.

Damned well should have. I think that was the point.

Yes, boat is fixed, got it out and ran a couple of hours Tuesday, will next Monday, then taking a week at Branson with boat.

My job has a lot of stress and this really relaxes me.

She should have had my sisters story; She was 16, just got her liscense HWP stopped her for speeding. She told him she was in a hurry to get to town before she ran out of gas. He let her go, he probably never heard that one before.

In 1957 driving a LJ Mack with a 672 Lanova engine pulling a 38 foot tandem trailer with 40,000 from Syracuse To Elizabeth City a sub of SF Ca it took 6 days of hard running. There was no interstates and if I remember right there was only about 25 miles of 4 lane the whole way.

(quoted from post at 22:13:19 07/24/16) My wife and I have noticed that the majority of the drivers speeding on the interstates are young women, not young men.

I agree, except it is on all roads, like the one past my house. I think that it is related to self esteem and entitlement.
