The family that rents the old farmhouse liked the colored stone I put down between the buildings so much,,they made this rest area on their own,Its just above the little house.

The farmer was baling straw. He had a few bales on the ground,so I went and picked them up.This also gave me an excuse to get some pictures.

You sure have a knack for taking great photos Larry. They are beautiful!!
A question: Is that field the farmer is baling what they call conture farming? Looks very narrow but long. I've heard of that but being from out west not at all common here.

Thanks again for sharing your beautiful photos..
Dick

Sure looks nice around there, nice pictures as usual. Are all the people as friendly and helpful as
you? If so must be a nice place to live.

Yup, the contour farming around here helps prevent runoff but that's changed even more with the use of no-till. I had to smile the other day driving by and seeing that baling setup. Grew up riding behind that exact setup for many years. They also had a nice Oliver out doing the raking. I still like watching the "little guy" and hope they can keep farming this area.

We had a group in our engineering offices this week from Utah. I had sent them for a drive up through Lehigh and Schuylkill County. They couldn't believe the views and the rolling countryside.
My wife is from upstate NY and she was so impressed with the views from our area that she decided to marry me! Haha.

Great pics, Larry.

Man, there's nothing like a fresh tomato from your own garden! Our tomato plants don't look the best... but they do have some small green ones on - so there's hope.

Been picking raspberries and blackcaps this week. Just finished the second picking this week. Better half is making a pie right now and the rest will go in the freezer. She made jelly out of the first picking. Gotta go check out the peas again today, too.
