I do that with my 24 foot extension ladder, but on the golf cart and not on the road! Where are mythbusters when you would want to see what happened?

Wouldn't have ever done anything like that, but I remember more than one trip to the lumberyard in my Father's '57 Bel Air with me holding a few 2x4's outside the passenger window on the return trip. I would have been 10 when he sold that car. One of the great conveniences of modern vehicles is the hatch in the back seat to extend long items from the trunk into the passenger area.

That just boggles my mind!

That's a keeper for sure to show to my students.

You would think I've seen everything by now, but I couldn't in a million years think up something that stupid!

Be safe out there, and more importantly watch out for the other guy.

Deet da dee! He could have at least run it under from front to back and tied it to frame/bumper support

idiots that live and breathe among us and still have the audacity to vote for the wrong people ,. he should be labeled with this pix for life and that should disqualify them from voting

If you base your success on the number of replies.....ya done good keep them coming. Here's one I saw a couple weeks ago. It's 2 1/4 casing over the roof, one strap and if they went over 35-40 mph it was bending over backwards. Not a straight panel on the truck.

It may vary some by state, but her in NC you can go to anything under 12'1" with a sign alone. Go ever 12'1" and you have to have one pilot car in the front. Go ever 14 feet, and you've got to have a pilot car in the front and back.
