Greg,

If I remember right, Galaga would give you a bunch more "lives" if you could make it through without killing a single alien.

D.

Grand kids like playing in my basement. I
have 1950s pinball, bowling, fussball ,
pool, and jukebox. Electric train for
grandson. I had these toys before my kid's
were born. So we have a good time at
Christmas.

Arcade game? I was born in the depression of the 1930's. There wasn't any money to be wasted in an arcade game, so I never played one.

At one time, when I was like 12 or 13, I held the 8th highest score in the world on PacMan. The owner of the pizza placewe use to
frequent never sent the score in, so I never got credit for it. Another kid who use to come there had 2nd highest in the US, but
he never got any notority for it, since the owner didnt turn in his score either. He hated kids coming to his palce, but yet still
had a few video games in there. He son now runs the place, or so Im told. I havent been since 87, the day we buried my first wife.
Thats where we had our first date.

I was never much for feeding my quarters into a machine but at a kids birthday at Chucky Cheese recently I found the skee-ball to be a lot of fun.

Have played pac man before. Very little though. I spent most of my youth working on tractors !

The best ever was the Pin Ball Machines in the truck stops of long ago. It only took a nickel. Put a nickel in the Juke Box and listen to a Hank Williams song. Gosh how life was so much fun and didn't cost a lot of money, Also we didn't have much money.

I used to play Galaga a lot. One of our local movie theaters has a machine that will play it, or Ms Pac-Man, so I played Galaga the other night when we got out of the movie.

I had forgotten you can let the alien pick up you man, and then get him back for double firepower when you get past like stage 10.

I used to get well past stage 20, but the other night around 12 was about the best I could get, with a score of around 98,000.

DEFENDER/STARGATE Wow did we burn the quarters back then. Guess it was better than the getting into trouble!
