Coming soon to my town in the old K-Mart building. Never shopped in one, are they better than Tractor Supply?

Good store and they carry a lot of farm stuff the others don't. I but all my generic round up there and if you are into guns they have the best prices.

They just opened their first store here in Western Pa. Much larger and wider selection than TSC except in the core farming items. Went to buy share pins for rotary mower.....no stock what so ever. They are catering to the clothing, pet and horse people. Guess not enough real farming here.

I like RK over TSC, TSC does fill propane bottles RK doesn't. Charges by how much propane they put in bottle. So I go to both places, just go to RK more often. RK sells bleach cheaper than any store in town.

The RK here stocks a pretty large assortment of nuts & bolts from grade 2 thru grade 8 SAE & metric, just not in the ag section. You kinda have to look around to find what you're looking for sometimes in it. Keith

Never heard of Rural King before but is only one true way to find out.

Not far from us in our old shut down Kmart building has been a Big-R for a couple of years. I've been in it a few times. They're still in business and they sell ammo. Buy some local, buy most online.

Good luck, I hope it pans out.

Mark

The RK nearest me is 25 miles away, but worth several trips per year. Ours has a pretty large "real farm stuff" section, larger than the TSC and Family Farm and Home combined. Good gun prices, free popcorn. I wear the RK jeans just because I can buy them on sale for $7 and no one cares how I look. The local store is not the pillar of cleanliness and the parking lot looks like a target zone of a gunnery range, but it fits the customer base. My kids told me RK is where the people go who can't afford Walmart

George must be your RK is behind. Here the Rural King as been refilling the bottles for some time. Last 3 months the price is $ 9.99 with a $2.00 rebate from the fuel folks. Can,t beat 8 bucks for a refill . Rural King carries a lot of bargains. I get a lot of oil there cheaper than I can buy from out distributor . Hard to beat 8 dollar blue jeans to work in.

The only Rural King I've been in is in Parkersburg, WV. There are TSC's in the area and I can't say that either of them can hold a candle to the old Quality Farm and Fleet. Both seem to cater to pet owners and clothing.

Nearest one is 20 miles away. We go there about once a month. Good selection of farm related supplies, lots of domestic things for the wife. Suits both of us. One of the few stores where I take her shopping that I don't nap in the parking lot while she does it.
