I knew not to agree to it, but a mother and two KITTLE 2-year old kids asked please can they climb up on the Farmall H? I said yes, but first I have to check everything, remove the battery disconnect, shut off fuel, lock the brakes, put it in gear, etc. Mom put the Kid up on the seat, he started to go zoom-zoom, pulling the steering wheel, hitting everything.... hit the belly pump lever, knocked it down, and the rear carrier I had left hoisted up in the air DROPPED!!! bang down. Nobody near, the mother didn't notice, the other kid thankfully was not there. My Lord, what could have happened. Never again, and I KNEW not to agree to it.

WOW A few years ago y oldest grandson was here and I had cultivated the garden with ny Cu. I always let everything down so the cultivators were on the ground as he always climbs on it. He sat on the seat playing and we were on the deck. He pulled the switch on and started pulling thing and the tractor started. With the culitavors down it killed but if they hadn't been he would have been in the pond with the tractor. Got our attention. It now has a master switch

Amish kids were playing in a combine that there dad was taking the motor out of. I don't know why but grandpa decided to start the motor and he did it buy crossing the wires by the motor next thing the combines heading for the door with 2 Amish kids driving just as they hit the door they yanked the hydro back and started back into the shed . By then dad caught the combine jumped on and got it shut down . I wish I had a video the looks on all the faces.

It is always a good idea to not leave lifts, loaders or three points in a raised position when exiting a tractor or any other equipment. I am glad no one or nothing was hurt.

That is a major reason that I and many others don't participat at tractor shows anymore. Second reason; cost to own and operate a decent truck and trailer to move the equipment. Lots of money spent, with no monitary return.

My mom gets chills every time she sees my grain trucks. An aquaintance of hers growing up got into the truck to play and let the hoist down killing his father.
